TEDx event

TEDxUQ is an annual, independently organised TEDx event that first started in 2013 at The University of Queensland.

Following TED’s mission and values, TEDxUQ believe in the power of ideas to inspire and change our daily lives. Thus, we offer the platform for passionate and inspiring individuals to come together and share their stories.

Run entirely by a team of passionate volunteers, including undergraduate and post graduate UQ students, TEDxUQ aims to foster an inclusive and diverse community to encourage everyone to share insights, explore ideas, and create a positive change.

Celebrating our tenth-year anniversary in 2023, TEDxUQ continues the commitment to curate a TED-like experience for the UQ and wider Brisbane communities. Join us on our journey as we continue to celebrate innovative ideas and inspire change.

About TEDx, x = independently organized event

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TED Talks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized. (Subject to certain rules and regulations.)
