2018 TEDxUQ Event

TEDxUQ is extremely excited to be continuing our program in 2018.  Key details are as follows:

Theme: i am [ ]

i am [ ] encapsulates two of TEDxUQ’s key pillars, innovation and diversity, while encouraging individuals to reach their own interpretation.  This year’s theme is particularly relevant given the dynamism of current social movements and hope that TEDxUQ can play a small role in helping people own their voice and pave their individual path. i am [ ]’, is inspired by how people define themselves and this year we are creating a space for our speakers to exhibit who they are, their passions, and the personal experiences that lead to them sharing the TEDxUQ stage. i am [ ]’, is a theme that we believe has the potential to literally and figuratively push boundaries. It is our hope that our speakers and the TEDxUQ community follow this cue and are inspired to shape a future that is driven by their passions.

What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organised events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxUQ, where x = independently organised TED event. At our TEDxUQ event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organised.
